EURO-17: Zidane’s Son Misses Panenka, Saves Crucial Penalty Kick (VIDEO)

Zinedine Zidane's goalkeeper son Luca attempted and missed a Panenka in Euro U17 semi-final but got back up to play a key role as France progressed to the final.

His second son Luca currently plies his trade with Real Madrid's Under 17s Juvenil B team as a goalkeeper, and is said to be highly thought of.

He is also the starting goalkeeper for France’s U17 team.

And Luca starred – in more way than one - as that France team made it into the final of the UEFA Under 17 Championship on Tuesday.

France were pitted against Belgium in the semi-final and after the match finished one-all the game went straight to penalties.

Only three of the 10 penalties were converted, and, incredibly, Luca Zidane saved three of Belgium's efforts.

However, as he stepped up to take France’s fourth, with the shootout tied a 1-1, he attempted a Panenka which agonisingly clipped the top of the crossbar and slid over.

Credit to him though, he got up and saved the next Belgian penalty before Odsonne Edouard converted his effort to put France into Friday's final.
