Real Madrid are tracking Inter striker Mauro Icardi as a Sergio Aguero alternative.
Icardi only signed a contract extension to 2019 earlier this month, but that has not stopped speculation on his imminent future.
The 22-year-old Capocannoniere had already been linked with Atletico Madrid and Chelsea, but now Real Madrid are in on the act.
According to Spanish paper As, Icardi is seen as the ideal alternative should the Merengues fail to tempt Aguero from Manchester City.
Icardi topped the scorers’ charts in Serie A this season with 22 goals, on a par with Verona’s Luca Toni.
Between Serie A, the Europa League and Coppa Italia, the Argentine bagged a remarkable 27 goals in 48 games.
