The Real Reasons Why Perez Sacked Carlo Ancelotti
Reports coming from Madrid have revealed the main reason why Ancelotti was sacked by Real Madrid president, Florentine Perez.
It was revealed that Ancelotti was sacked for the way and manner he treated his most prized jewel, Gareth Bale.
Spanish newspaper AS claims that Ancelotti's success in bringing Real Madrid their long-awaited 'La Decima' - their 10th European title - might well have saved his job, despite a trophyless 2014-15 season.
But Real Madrid president Florentino Perez reportedly told a group of club directors that Ancelotti's treatment of world record signing Bale was too much to bear.
The dispute is said to have flared up when Bale was substituted with 20 minutes to go during the Liga clash against Valencia in January, which Real ended up losing 2-1 - the moment at which their superb start to the campaign really began to turn sour.
AS reports that Perez was apparently quizzed about Ancelotti's sacking, initially saying that it was, "a question of loss of trust" in the coach.
One club director then apparently pressed Perez, asking why he would lose faith in a man who won four trophies in his first season.
Perez then said that Ancelotti had not treated Bale well, "a key strategic player for us... once he took him off, and I reproached him over it, and Carlo didn't understand it. After that he lost my trust."
The papers sources add that Perez told Ancelotti at the time: "To bring off Bale is to attack me."
