Manchester City Host Chelsea As Arsenal Face Crystal Palace

Manchester City host Chelsea on Sunday in an early-season clash of the two most-fancied teams for the Barclays Premier League title.

Pellegrini could sit five points clear of the man who pushed him to the brink of the exit last season if the team picks all three points.

The Manchester City manager will not want to pass up the opportunity to turn the tables on his old rival Jose Mourinho.

Following two dropped points against Swansea, it is safe to assume Mourinho will be happy to take a point from the Etihad, rather risk slipping five adrift of City, even at this early stage.

Chelsea will be without keeper Thibaut Courtois after he was sent off as the champions began their defence with a 2-2 draw with Swansea at Stamford Bridge.

Despite the firepower on display, this will be a cagey affair with both sides having to settle for a 1-1 draw, Eden Hazard putting Chelsea in front.

Meanwhile, Arsenal will be hoping to pick its first point of the season as the team faces Crystal Palace away from home on Sunday.

Arsenal endured a miserable start to the campaign as they were booed off following a 2-0 defeat to West Ham at the Emirates Stadium.

Club-record signing Yohan Cabaye scored on his Crystal Palace debut to seal a 3-1 victory over promoted Norwich at Carrow Road.
