FIFA To Wade Into Mourinho's Row With Eva Carneiro
World football governing body, FIFA is set to discuss Jose Mourinho’s treatment of Chelsea team doctor Eva Carneiro
It will be recalled that Carneiro’s role was downgraded after she and head physio Jon Fearn went on the pitch to treat Eden Hazard in the 2-2 home draw with Swansea on August 8.
The move reduced Chelsea to nine men – goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois had already been sent off – and angered Mourinho, who called it “impulsive and naive”.
FIFA’s Medical Committee will discuss Carneiro at a meeting on September 11.
The committee is expected to make clear its support of team doctors who act in the best interest of players.
Chairman Michel D’Hooghe said: “This is once again an example of the difficult situation of the team doctor.
“I want to discuss this with my colleagues and to see if we need to give a declaration from the medical side to help team doctors.”
Mourinho was criticised for his comments about the medical team after the game at Stamford Bridge but refused to back down.

Carneiro Accused Of Sleeping With A Chelsea Player By Ex-Boyfriend
Chelsea club doctor, Eva Carneiro has been accused by her ex-boyfriend, Rupert Patterson-Ward has to have slept with one of the club’s stars.
He further claims that she would tell him of her sexual exploits with the player when they argued during a 16-month relationship.
He told The Sun: “This woman ruined my life. Eva would blurt out she had slept with one of the players during heated rows.
“She said it just to make me feel bad. I don’t believe it was true.”
Patterson-Ward also claims a Chelsea player once called Carneiro, who he describes as being “a very sexual woman”, to his hotel room and answered the door naked when she arrived.
Carneiro, aged 41, was absent from the touchline for Chelsea’s Premier League clash at title rivals, Manchester City, on Sunday.
Mourinho blasted her and physio Jon Fearn for going onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard in the closing stages of last week’s draw with Swansea City because it left the Blues with nine men on the pitch.

Mourinho Confirms Dr Carneiro’s Demotion
Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho has said in a statement that Eva Carneiro, Chelsea's first team doctor, will not be reinstated to the bench for Sunday's Premier League match at Manchester City.
Mourinho was visibly infuriated to see Doctor Carneiro and head physiotherapist Jon Fearn run on to the field to give Eden Hazard treatment during last Saturday's 2-2 draw with Swansea at Stamford Bridge.
Mourinho has instigated action against the medical staff that will see both missing from Sunday's trip to the Etidad Stadium.
Jon Fearn and Dr Caneiro will not be on the bench on Sunday - it doesn't mean they cannot be in the future.
The Portuguese coach told the media afterwards that their "impulsive and naive" decision showed they did not "understand the game" and, since then, Press Association Sport has learned Carneiro's role at Chelsea is changing significantly.
